The Accolade Project - York University, Faculity of Fine Arts
The Accolade Project provides state-of-the-art teaching, exhibition and performance facilities in two new buildings bracketing the existing Fine Arts complex at the heart of York's Keele campus. Steve Mirkopoulos, President of Cinespace Film Studios, sat on the Advisory Council of The Accolade Project Campaign Committee, a group of passionate volunteers which included Jeanne Beker, Eugene Levy, Ivan Fecan and Sandie Rinaldo. In addition, Steve Mirkopoulos currently sits on the Advisory Committee for the Faculty of Fine Arts.
Cinespace’s other Accolade Project contributions included the dedication of the Nick Mirkopoulos Screening Room, which honors Nick Mirkopoulos as film studio pioneer and catalyst behind Toronto's emergence as a leading global production centre, as well as the furnishing of editing suites in the Department of Film with editing equipment.
